Hello, I have been looking for a place like this and I am glad I found it. I am building a new PC since no stores have had exactly what I wanted which can be expected.

First let me tell you the entire point of this Build is because I game Primarily on my PlayStation 4 and the onboard recording is okay but it was time to upgrade to an ELGATO HD60s which has a much higher requirements than the basic HD60 so my old rig (4years old) won't run it.  I also stream to Twitch at times but I mainly record video, audio and do lots of editing. So basically I want a High End CPU, Decent Graphics Card and Good Mother Board the rest is fill in I can come up with..

CPU  -   i7 7700k  I was going to go with just the i7 7700 but I like the option to overclock if I want.  My Question is, Does this CPU require Liquid cooling? if so what do you recommend for a liquid cooling set up and is it hard to set up liquid cooling?  Ive built 2 rigs in the past no liq tho..

GPU -  GTX 1060  I like the  GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1060 Windforce OC GV-N1060WF2OC-6GD Video Card  but I am open to other suggestions..   I may upgrade to a GTX 1070 if my budget allows it in the end so if I went with a 1070 what would the equivalent to this 1060 be in the 1070 quality wise?

Mother Board  THIS IS WHERE I AM REALLY HAVING TROUBLE..  Not sure where to begin with the MB.. I was looking at the ASUS STRIX but then dude on Twitter said no way don't do it so now I'm cautiously searching again.. I also like the  ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Gaming Motherboard  or this the other one I was looking at  1 × ASUS ROG STRIX Z270E GAMING LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI DVI M.2 ATX Motherboard with onboard AC Wifi and USB 3.1 Item #: N82E16813132928

please help..

I have a 1500 budget but this includes case, Power supply, memory, HD, and all the other bells and whistles needed...

I am hoping to place the order today so please if you have any suggestions I really need help especially with the Mother Board.

Thanks, Jason / NalyoGaming.com

Gday  RiseUp44  :welcome:

I would be pleased to give you some help, but could take a few days to properly configure a build, also depends on time zones, I am in Australia, where are you?   Is it imperative you order today?

If you would like to answer some questions,

Is Asus a must? or would you consider Asrock?

What reason was given for not using the Asus Strix?

Have you considered using the Elgato HD60 Pro?

https://help.elgato....gaming-products

https://www.amazon.c...797f38948ea6836

Would you be able to incorporate any of your existing hardware in the new build, i.e. Optical/HHDs?

What software do you use for editing video, i.e. Vegas?

You will not need liquid cooling, unless you intend to dramatically overclock, a good air cooler as from Noctua will be more than enough.

For compatability, you will need W10.

Oh and I just saw that you had mentioned the Elgato HD60 PRO not the regular HD60 yeah i wish I saw it before buying the HD60S i would have but its all good I will just use the HD60S.  Looks like it is going to be another day before I order anything since it is already 11pm here. If anyone sees anything in my order that could be improved for around the same prices please let me know especially the Mother Board. Thanks.

Just a quick look at the specs, looks overall pretty good but,

Red drives are mainly used for RAID arrays, in enterprise Fields.  iTB  RE3 drives start at about $90,,anything cheaper are montly, used, OEM, refurbished, even from alternative sellers on Newegg When people test them, they can have already been used for hundreds of hours.

from Amazon, "Looking at the "new" drives listed here, most say that they are "bulk pulls". What does that mean? Are they really brand new with a 5 year warranty?

Answer: They are likely OEM hard drives pulled from new or newer servers or computers. I bought one and it was an HP OEM WD drive with no warranty at all. I would use some caution buying these drives..."

Some are brand new, but pre 2011 and if you try to register or claim RMA from WD, they will tell you they are out of the 5 year warranty.

SSD, i bit low budget, need better.

RAM not tested by G.Skill on your board. > http://www.gskill.co...2859&model=2865

Will post a built tonight.

Gday.

You needed to include a CPU heatsink/cooler as the K series does not have a stock one, added a Noctua.

I think the Asus Hero is fantastic but for your workflow, I don't think you would use halve of the features.   What do you think of the Asrock, (use this link to if purchasing, not the one on CPP.> https://www.newegg.c...N=-1&isNodeId=1

I don't think you need to go up to a GTX 1070.

The Rosewill PSU is not certified, happens to be one of those prone to exploding, read the reviews on Newegg.   As your other parts are top end, you should have a quality one.   Your total system power draw is under 360 watts so a 550 is heaps of headroom even if you upgrade the GPU and add more fans, also has a 10 year warranty. > https://www.newegg.c...ID=3938566&SID=

Thanks for the heads up on the PSU. I would rather find a MotherBoard from ASUS, GIGABYTE... I am looking now, hope to find one soon really want to order today.  And I love the Noctua NH-U12S 55.0 CFM CPU Cooler But it is brutally ugly and I don't think i could look at it for the next few years.. I know I might seem a bit picky and I do appreciate your help but if I am going to spend this money I want something I can stand looking at.. Either black grey etc..

What do you think of this one?

Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (AM4 bracket available through Cooler Master USA)

This is what I have so far but still stuck on the Mother Board.. Looking at the ASUS Strix and the ASUS Maximus Code which will put me even more over budget but at that point I just want to put the order in..i'll just pick up hours or something..

The Hyper Evo is OK, the Hyper 212X performs a little better.   A lot of builders find them quite awkward to install.

except a mother board.. Really like ASUS, open to others but I would really like to stay away from ASrock, I know its weird but personal choice..

Thank you so much for your help @Iammykyl you really did help a ton, i would have sat here for another 3 weeks trying to figure things out.. But you made me re think some things with your suggestions. THis is what I ended up going with.. I ordered everything except Windows 10 which I will prob. pay an extra 25 buck for from Best Buy just so i can split it on two credit cards lol.. and I also need to get a Hard Drive which I could also pick up at Best buy and maybe get taxed an extra ten or fifteen bucks for a WD or whatever.. But here is my final link to everythign I ordered

Thanks again, please let me know if you need me to do anything so you can get points or however this site works.. Thanks.

You are very welcome

I was just checking out your previous reply and give you a warning to choose the MB before the RAM.  > https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007627%20600567584%2050001315%20600009016%20600009018%20601276224%208000%20600054095&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&Order=PRICED&PageSize=96

Looks OK with the IX Code.

I see you have had quite a bit of build experience. Like to see how your build goes, or if you have any questions before marking topic solved, then I can claim my $500 fee :whistling:

Good luck.
