Hi, Hope someone can tell me how to get my pc to start, I have a warning message stating that a cooling fan is faulty, I then just have a plain screen with the words 'please wait', nothing else happens and the pc will not respond to any keys pressed.

:welcome:   kevc,

You should put off trying to start up the notebook until the issue is resolved else you risk frying the processor.

Post the brand and model name or number of the notebook for so that we can do some research on swapping out the cooling fan/s.
