Hi. First time poster. Let me know if there is any information or protocal which I am overlooking.

I have Spy Sheriff on my computer and can't get it off. I thought I had almost taken care of it (via AdAware and SpyBot) but after running those my computer is now completely messed up.

The reason other posts on this haven't worked so far is because of this:

Whenever I try to open most of my files (including the recommended programs I've just downloaded to remove Spy Sheriff) my operating system pops up with the following warning: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an assocation in the Folder Options control panel."

Anyone have an idea as to what I can do? Let me know what other information I can add to this.
