Hi. Trying to help a friend with their computer. They are continually getting multiple different stop code (BSOD) and I've hoping someone out there can help narrow down a cause(s) for them. Here are the one's shes' gotten so far:

1. stop code: Memory management

2. stop code: System service exception

3. stop code: Kmode exception not handled, what failed: tcpip.sys

4. stop code: Kmode exception not handled, what failed: rdyboost.sys

5. stop code: Page fault in a nonpaged area

6. stop code: System service exception, what failed fltmgr.sys

7. stop code: irql gt zero at system service

8. stop code: dpc watchdog violation

9. stop code: Kmode exception not handled, what failed: fltmgr.sys

I've had her run a chkdsk, sfc, and memory test and all came back ok. She's also removed and reseated the memory.

Any suggestions on what is wrong or how to track down what might be wrong? Where do I go from here? She's been having the issues for a while, so she can't restore to an earlier restore point.

Hello tigger3370,

1. Copy any dmp files from C:\Windows\Minidump onto the desktop.

2. Select all of them, right-click on one, and click on Send To> New Compressed (zipped) Folder.

3. Upload the zip folder using the More Reply Options tab, Choose File then the Attach This File tab., bottom left of the dialogue input box.

Ok. I gave those instructions to her and she'll be sending me the file after work tonight. I'll upload it here once I get it from her.

Thanks for the help!

Not heard back from you tigger3370, do you still require assistance or is the issue now resolved, an update would be appreciated.

Sorry. She hasn't had the time to do anything yet. The holidays played havoc with her schedule. She's trying to get her friend who built it to look at it. If I don't post anything by Thursday, go ahead and close it. Thank for trying to help. Hard to do when trying to go through a third person.

Jason

Tech threads are not normally closed unless for a particular reason but are instead marked as being solved, can`t do that here as we never actually got any crash dmps etc.

If you do not require any further assistance with any thread that you may start a simple update letting us know is something that is always appreciated
