Ok, unchecked the program we put in, and cntl-alt-del, and ....NOTHING....same thing as before, mty icon and no task manager...and now I fogot how to get the other one back???
Also, thought some of the programs noted were bad??Killapp? Didnt realize I could leave them...

Find procexp.exe and doubleclick it to run Process Explorer.
Then click Options to put back the checkmark before Replace TaskManager

RiskWare are tools that can be used by malware, but also have legitimate use.
Looking at the folders they are in I'd say they came with your computer.

Ok thanks for all of your help..still don't know what happened to task manager but the one you have suggested works bettern anyway and I found it and have restored it as default now...

Appears there is nothing else of concern happening badly and computer does seem to be working a bit fgaster although I may have to refiew the startup process's to see if there are some I can close..thanks agin for all of your help on htis one
