Any one know if vista drivers will work with windows 7 on a Dell 1525 laptop? If not, anyone know where I might find the drivers?

Usually is possible to use Vista drivers on Windows 7 specially if they are plain drivers with INF files instead of Setup files that check the OS.

 

Install Windows 7 and then install only the drivers that are missing. In some cases its possible to find updated drivers on the website of the device manufacture like Intel, Realtek, etc.

Are you upgrading from Vista to Windows 7? If so, did you run the Windows 7 upgrade advisor? See https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=20

 

I upgraded my Dell computer from Windows XP to Windows 7 recently and I think most of the drivers I used were the Dell ones for Vista from the Dell Drivers and Downloads page. (see drivers for the Dell1525 at http://www.dell.com/.../drivers?os=wlh)
