Windows 7 running really slow, Asus Notebook

??? Does it run slow in Safe mode? If so, then it could be a hardware problem, (such as a failing hard drive). If not, then one or more of the programs you're loading on startup... Go to the full post »

Thanks for the reply but Microsoft couldn't find anything, there is no surprise there, Any other solutions would be appreciated? :geek:

If not, then one or more of the programs you're loading on startup  could be the cause. (But that should have been discussed on the page I linked to above).

 

Has it always been slow?

 

What is the model number of the laptop?

I had just managed to get the back-ups i needed and it just would not reboot, i removed the drive and tried externally and still no joy, bought a new drive and loaded windows, works like a dream.
