Hi all, firstly I apologise if I'm in the wrong part of the forum.

I am looking for advice on how to get a video removed from YouTube. It was posted by someone else.

I have tried reporting it as spam to YouTube, flagged it up several times but to no avail.

I wondered if anyone had any ideas or can offer any thoughts as to what I can do? If anything st all.

I really appreciate your time in reading this and anything you can suggest would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi,

A YouTube video can only be removed by the company itself (other than the creator) only if it is a violation of their policy. If you believe it is a violation of YouTube's policy, you can report the video, and YouTube's team will verify it. Bear in mind that, the definition of "policy" and its violation can be different from yours which mean that just because you think the video should be removed does not necessarily mean that YouTube will think it as such.

That being said, depending on the nature of the video and your relation with it, you can involve lawyers and follow proper channel for the removal of the video.

Regards,
