I've got a problem that started last night, where my computer locks up and the display is all wierd, sorta like the martix stuff. But after rebooting it was fine. So i thought nothing of it. Then Today it crashed again and wont detect my 2nd ide hdd, But after unpluging a couple of things and turning it on and off, it came good again. A couple hours after that the same problem, But now it boots with no display then it sounds like it goes to sleep. Its really wierd. Could it be a power supply problem? i've and 450watt ps. Could be bios or even my Motherboard. thanks.

Could be a power supply. Might also be a problem with the video card/video driver, or an overheating problem.

I'd start with updating the video driver. It's also a good idea to remove any previous drivers before installing a new on. Use the Driver Cleaner:
