Hm? Ok. The Farbar Service Scanner (FSS) log shows System Restore as being ok, but the fix script I had you run shows that the creation of a restore point had failed.

The FSS log also shows that the Windows Update service is set for the wrong startup type. We're going to change that to the default startup type.

First I am going to have you create a system restore point manually. Please do as follows:
  • Right-click the Start button, then select Control Panel > System and Maintenance > System.
  • In the left pane, select System protection.
  • Select the System Protection tab, and then select Create.
  • In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then select Create.
Next:

Let's change the startup type for your Windows Updates:
  • Press the Windows+R keys to open the Run dialog.
  • Type services.msc
  • Press Enter
  • Using the scroll bar on the right, scroll down the list of Services then double click on the Windows Update service to open the properties window.
  • In the Properties windows, look for Startup type: and make sure it is set for Manual (Trigger Start). If it is not, please change the type so that is does.
  • Click the Ok button at the bottom of the window.
  • Click the red X at the top right of the Services window to close it.
Next:

Please follow the instructions here to run the FSS tool again and post the log in your next reply.

Were you able to successfully create a system restore point?

Looks like that sorted out the Windows Update service issue. Try checking for Windows Updates to see if any are available. Let me know the results. :)
