Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but based on the outcome of the suggested tests and what you had tried yourself already I suspect that this is a problem that you will not be able to correct yourself, time to take the notebook to a local tech I`m afraid  :(

If the notebook continued to run CPU failure could have been a possibility and while still painful not as expensive as having to purchase a new notebook, but, the notebook shutting down points more towards a MB problem which includes a system short or the boards power circuit, not normally a cost effective option as you may actually be able to purchase a new notebook for around the same cost of new MB replacement and fitting.

If you do take the notebook in for repair can I ask that you let us know the outcome, the information would be helpful to both myself and others who may read your thread looking for help with the same or a similar computer issue.

Not heard back from you sanelleh, do you still require assistance or is the issue now resolved, an update would be appreciated.
