When I run Ad-aware, useful cookies and Windows Explorer history (recent internet sites visited) are deleted. How do I save these, but get rid of the bad stuff?

Linda:

I'm new here but others will likely confirm that after your scan completes there will be a tabbed page in the Summary indicating "negligible objects" which lists files saving last opened documents, history, etc. among others.

Don't select those files (maybe MRU's) for quarantine or deletion. I think you can also set you scan preferences so that those "negligible objects" aren't detected during the scan which will also alleviate your problem.

On the "negligible objects" listing page you can also right click on each object to find what it actually does.

Readers: Please correct any misinformation in this post if I've given Linda a wrong steer here. But I noticed that no one had responded in 2 hours. :tazz:

Sorry for the delay in replying.

I belive russ is correct! :tazz:

Negligible risk entries are not considered to be a threat. They consist of MRU (Most Recently Used items) lists which store information about the most recently used items, for example files, search words and programs.

It is your choice to remove them.

Please in future if you wish to save them, deselect "Search for negligible risk entries".

;)

Sorry the late delay.
