Does anyone know anything about this company MyGeek?  I don't remember adding this add-on myself so is it something that Chrome now installs on its own?  I'm normally very good at not accidentally installing software that I don't want.

Basically, is it safe or should I remove it?

Hi Dhitchner,

I think you need to practice your search skills on the forum... :)

The forum Advanced Search ability is broken...

Using the Google search: site:geekstogo.com "MyGeek" "Malware Search" comes up completely empty.

Even just searching: site:geekstogo.com "MyGeek" chrome extension isn't helpful.

If you could point me in the direction to help me see what I'm missing, it would be greatly appreciated.

It works fine for me!

Don't forget that you can't use google to search the private sections you have/gain access on this forum for training.

MyGeek is a legit and reputable company. So, Malware Search by MyGeek is a keeper. :)

Thank you again, Donna.  I'm still at a bit of a loss with the Advanced Search function (the little gear next to the search box).  SleepyDude says it works fine for him, but nothing I do in there seems to work.  Any tips on how to get it to function for me would be great!

Hi,

Thank you again, Donna.  I'm still at a bit of a loss with the Advanced Search function (the little gear next to the search box).  SleepyDude says it works fine for him, but nothing I do in there seems to work.  Any tips on how to get it to function for me would be great!

After opening the Advanced Search did you go back to the Search box on top and change the Search Section to Forums?

I don't mean to hijack someone else's thread, but I thought it might be helpful to know that I also can no longer use the advanced search on this site.  It doesn't produce any results anymore for me, no matter what search term I input.   The regular search will work, but anything I input on the advanced search will not work.

No worries my_name.  I'm glad that I wasn't the only one having issues it.  I was beginning to think it was just me LOL

SleepyDude, thank you, that actually did fix it for me.  It seems very strange that you have to change that option because it is outside of the Advance Search form.

Thanks dhitchner, and SleepyDude.  I really never would have figured out that I needed to go back up to the basic search box and change something after I already chose advanced search and picked what options I wanted there.

Oh well, at least it works for us now, right?
