I currently have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro (2.5Ghz Intel Core i5, 4Gb 1600 Mhz DDR3, Intel Hd graphics 4000 1536MB). I need a reliable, fast computer that can also play low-mid graphics games. I could get a new Macbook Air (1.6 dual core Ghz i5, 8GB SSD, 8 GBLPDDR3). Is it worth it to upgrade my current computer for what I want and if so, what should I upgrade? Thanks!

:welcome:   obi12323,

The games that you wish to play will determine whether or not a new Macbook Air would be appropriate, Macs are not cheap and being honest I would not recommend purchasing one for anything other than school or work.

Have a look at the link here for an idea of specs needed for many if not all popular modern games.
