Hello dear tech experts,

Long story short : I have purchased an ultrabook online (Jumper Ezbook 3 pro) and a mini SSD drive to connect to it, but it turned out that the seller confused the models of the laptops and sent me one that doesn't have a mSSD SATA adapter. Returning the laptop at this point is impossible for me, so I am looking for a way out of this situation.

So the question is :

I have seen many videos online with this version of laptop (the version that has mSSD adapter *screenshot 2*) that on this very spot (marked red on the pic below *screenshot 1*) there's a mSSD adapter, I don't have it, but I have this little slot attached to the motherboard (pointed with a red arrow *screenshot 1*). Can I use the adapter shown in the other picture below(screenshot 3) to connect the mini SSD drive to laptop through this slot ?

Thank you.

I can't see any details or tell the size of the connector from your picture but your adapter doesn't look like it would fit.

Can you get a better picture of the connector so we can see how many pins it has and what keying? Put a centimeter scale in the picture so we have an idea of the size too.

I found this on a site where they reviewed you device:

According to Jumper the first batch will come with no SSD expansion M.2 slot and the second batch with M.2 SSD slot is due on the 20th.

Betting you have one from the first batch.

All M.2 connectors are 22 MM and have a lot more pins than yours so it's not M.2 and it's certainly not a SATA Express connector.  Probably just used during testing and of no use to you.

I'm pretty sure it's the older model Jumper Ezbook 3 Pro .  About all you can do is use an external USB 3.0 to MSATA adapter.  Amazon has several:  Example:

Sabrent USB 3.0 mSATA II or III/6G SSD Enclosure Adapter [Support UASP] (EC-UKMS) for $13.99

 No I think you're right!

for ez. the ezbook 3 also has a 10 lead connection to the M.2 expansion slot.

both connections count up to 10 - http://imgur.com/7arU5QP (ezbook 3 pro has 8+2 on the side https://prnt.sc/fspdyu)

It should be possible with something like this http://eshop.sintech...s/DSC058511.jpg

geekbuying states -> The laptop only M.2 SSD interface which means you weld extra M.2 wire into the laptop

but i'm still searching for a M.2 expansion slot. the one you gave in the picture is a msata slot
