I can update microsoft security essentials if you think it is safe for me to log on the laptop #2 to internet to update things for it and run a scan on it as well?

Also, I will continue on to step 3 as well with that program :)

Will do and thank you Joe :)

I will continue with Step 3 on that program today as well and let you know the results of it and update the Microsoft Security Essentials and run a scan as well and let you know how that turns out.

Well done! No issues with the file system.

If there are no issues I think we are done with this one.

Thanks
Joe :)

That is good news :)

Do you want me to finish with the program first, since all I have done is the steps before running the actual program you had me add last?

Attached File  Repair_Windows_Updates.txt   418.59KB   271 downloads

I ran the repair part twice like it told me too and here are the logs from the scans.

I think there is two other things left to do on the program now that I did this part.

Ok I finished the Tweaking.com program the other day when I did the repairs tab and didn't realize it.

So, now I'm working on updating Microsoft Security Essentials and running a scan on it since you requested that and I haven't done that yet.

After I finish the scan I will post the results for it.

I have been leaving the disk defrag alone since we are working on other things right now, so just let me know when you want me to check that out again.

Otherwise how have you been doing?

Christa :)

Hello,

Otherwise how have you been doing?

Work is finally getting busy again. Been slow for a while, I'm a self employed painter / maintenance worker.

I'm working on updating Microsoft Security Essentials and running a scan on it since you requested that and I haven't done that yet.

Sounds good !

Try the defrag after that.

Joe

I'm glad to hear work is getting busy for you again :)

Will do.
