Hello,

I need to install a piece of software, but was told that I should not install the Windows updates beforehand.  Unfortunately they have already downloaded.  How can I reboot (which I need to do to finish installing the software) WITHOUT installing the downloaded Windows updates?

Many thanks in advance!

If the updates not already installed you can disable Windows Update service. You can manage Windows services by typing services into Start Menu search box.

You could disable Windows update, but i do not really recommend it.  You could go to the control panel and then administrative tools, there you can access the service. Just find wuauserv and then disable the process.
