I have a gateway laptop, when I power on, it says no bootable device found. My warranty has already expired. I have took battery out, took hard drive out, placed all back in, still says to bootable device found. I can't get into safe mode at all, I can access BIOS, set to legacy boot mode, I did notice HDD keeps setting a password to Frozen, I have done supervisor password set then remove, which clears out the HDD password frozen, but it keeps setting the password back. Any help pls and thank you.

Reset BIOS setting to factory settings and set the HDD as a first boot device.

I've done that, still didn't work. I've tried to do legacy boot as well, still no luck.

I have no idea why it keeps setting to "Frozen" I have to set a supervisor password, reboot, then remove the supervisor password, reboot and it clears the HDD password that says "FROZEN". But if I reboot the HDD will set the password back to "FROZEN" even if I set a password myself (once I clear it) it will still say "FROZEN" once I reboot. So I think I have to just buy a new hard drive. The system is not detecting it, so upon boot up it says no bootable device found please insert hard disk.
