EDIT: Not sure if this helps but I have a missing folder in %WinDir%\WinSxS\Temp "PendingDeletes", I only have "PendingRenames" in this folder.

PendingDeletes is a hidden system file but the easy way to see if it is there is to go to Temp and create a new folder called PendingDeletes.  If it let's you create it then it wasn't there and you have fixed the problem.  If you can't create it then it's hiding.

I think I'm in over my head.  Might be better (and faster) for you to register with SysNative and post in this forum:  https://www.sysnativ...windows-update/

They are the inventors of the sfcfix program and haven't shared the instructions with us.

If they get your sfc fixed then come back and we can work on it some more.

Alright good news and bad news. Good news: no more corrupt files yay! Bad news: Normal mode (non paged pool)still running at 87% memory usage. No internet connection, and can't really get programs to run in normal mode.

That was quick.  I'm going to sign up with sysnative to learn how to do that.

Right click on Computer and select Device Manager

Find each network adapter.  Right click and Uninstall.

Reboot.

Windows should find the adapter and reinstall the driver.  Sometimes that will fix it.

Does speccy still not work?

Good news, bad news.

Good news: I was able to uninstall the network adapter, while I was in normal mode everything was running fine. Speccy works fine, etc...

Bad news: Once the network adapter was reinstalled the non-paged pool jumped back up again and everything went haywire again.

So the network adapter is the problem.  We need an older version of the driver.

Try

http://support.lenov...nloads/ds030627

If that doesn't help then disable the driver and order a USB network adapter

Amazon has one for about $10:

AmazonBasics USB 2.0 to 10/100 Ethernet LAN Network Adapter

Walmart has one for the same price

Mignova 3-Port USB 2.0 Hub to LAN 100Mbps Ethernet RJ45 Network Adapter for Laptop PC

Just checked all my local stores unfortunately they don't have a 3.0 USB to Ethernet network adapter. I can confirm that downgrading the driver to a previous version didn't work. Would a permanent fix for this be to just buy a new internal network adapter? When it comes to hardware I have no idea how to match them.

My motherboard is a Asus - M4A87TD/USB3 ATX AM3, I got no idea which part to get for it.

Your motherboard has

Expansion Slots
PCI Express 2.0 x16  1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16
PCI Slots 3 x PCI Slots

I don't know which slots are free.

For the PCIe slot you could use something like:

https://www.newegg.c...06268-_-Product (Doesn't have to be PCIe 2.0 - older version will also work.)

For a PCI slot something like this:

https://www.amazon.c...rd (ST1000BT32)

If you disable the new one too does that make everything (Speccy) start working again?  (except for networking of course).  Make a log with Speccy while it is working.  Also run FRST (right click & Run As Admin)  with all Whitelist boxes and Addition.txt checked.  You will get two logs.  Post them both even if you have to put them on a USB drive and post them from a friend's computer.
