Tried to install the one supplied from the manufacturer, got this error:

 

 

Wondering if it's a bug in the newer driver now... How do I downgrade to the OEM version?

They do, it's what I tried to install that gave me that error message. The question is how do I install the older version if it doesn't want to?

After incessant right-clicks to the point where I can't move even the USB mouse anywhere without it trying to do something stupid, I've had to disable the touchpad. It's getting worse, which itself sounds like a hardware problem given the drivers haven't changed in the past day or so. Is a new touchpad in order? They're $50 on eBay, so worth a try to me, but don't want to jump the gun if it sounds software related somehow.

Hardware was definitely at fault, but unfortunately now I am stuck without ANY functioning touchpad. Local repair shop is cheap, I can follow up with them later to get one that works in there. Just got the laptop back a few days ago, I can't complain much. Something is WAY better than nothing!

 

Thanks for all the help guys!    Now for a question that affects TWO computers and hopefully isn't terribly hard to fix. I will get occasional HTTPS errors from sites that look like this:

 

 

Chrome breaks, Firefox works fine. They seem to all use the Thawte certificate, which one of my old jobs had me dick with on ALL my computers because a project I worked on required it. That seems to be causing issues now.

 

How do I reset the HTTPS certificates on my computer back to the factory listing of what they should have? I noticed some that were added by Telerik Fiddler too, which I no longer use. Essentially, I have zero need for additional HTTPS certificates, so I want to wipe any and all that I have replaced myself with what came with each computer. How do I accomplish this?

The problem is with my computers, not with the websites. I have a bad HTTPS cert installed somewhere causing all of this, but no way to wipe them all out and obtain only the ones I'm supposed to have.
