"Who" or "what" do you use to send an email?

"Who" such as :Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Outlook.com ...

"What" email client (program) such as Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, ...

sorry to be so vague in my post  but i cannot fathom what is going on.

i have an mp3 file in 'mymusic' that i want to send via email to a friend.

i right clicked on the file which revealed the 'send to' option.

i chose 'mail recipient' and there was the error message '' email default program association needs  to be created''

i have yahoo mail and gmail and google chrome browser

In order to use the "Send to > Mail recipient" within Windows, you need to use an email client, (an email program installed in Windows).
