I need a replacement for my lenovo m92 atx computer. Can I use any lga1155 socket motherboard or do I need the exact same board by lenovo?

If you want to put it back in the same computer case, you need the exact replacement. If you also want to swap cases, you can use any LGA1155. Why? OEM cases don't generally have removable back plates.

What do you mean by backplates not being removable?
Don't I remove the board through the cover that comes off?
