I have no idea how silly this could be. A friend of mine posted some sexy pics on this forum. Now she is paranoid as a few guys keep msging her and she is afraid they can track her ip and find her address and stalk her or hack into [bleep] at the house. Is this possible?

Her public IP address can be traced back to her ISP (Internet Service Provider). For large ISP's though, like say Verizon, AT&T, Comcast. etc. that really doesn't tell you much. To get any further information would require the assistance of a Lawyer and Judge to issue a warrant in order to force the ISP to dig into their log files to try and find out which of their customers was using that IP address on a particular date and time. Even then though, the ISP does not know who was actually using the device that was connected to that IP address. A close neighbor illegally accessing her WiFi for example.

If her device is infected with some type of malware, or, the government is after her, all bets are off.
