2009 iMac will not stay asleep

Hi,

my iMac is an early 2009. I am running El Capitan.

Lately, when I put it on sleep it will only last a minute or two and then it wakes up.

 

I went to System Preferences Energy Saver and looked at the settings.

They are both set at 10 minutes - computer and display.

I also hit Restore Defaults. That did nothing.

 

I took a screen shot attached below.

 

And then another weird thing happened yesterday.

When I started up, there was a screen that I have never seen.

There were 2 icons:

Hard Drive icon and Recovery.

I clicked on Hard Drive and it was fine.

 

Anybody know what that means?

 

I ran Disk Utility for the heck of it, and it came back fine.
