Hey Geeks

...anyone know why, when my Asus K53E reaches the end of its battery charge, the computer just dies with out giving the typical warning to plug in? When I attach a power cord, it powers up after I hit Start Normally. I was hoping it was a battery problem but a new one failed to solve the problem.

Thank you for your ideas.

Bry

Hello Bry,

Couple of questions if I may;

What OS are you running.

Have you checked the battery settings, see my example attachment below;

Much thanks....

Big thanks, Phil... I'll copy it to this hard drive and take it back to the boat. It's the boat computer that's giving me grief this time :)

Okay Phil... tried a few things as outlined and something stuck. All good now and back to normal.

Thanks again,

You're my 'Go To Guy!'
