Hello,

No matter how much protection we have a Trojan can sneak in occasionally

As far as Malwarebytes it looks like the free version has expired.


This is how I understand it.

Remember Malwarebytes free does not offer protection, it's used after the fact.

When you first download Malwaebytes it offers protection for 14 days, then the trial runs out.

Once a free trial has expired, you may wish to eliminate the notifications about the trial being expired, or you might even want to purchase the software or activate it if you already own a valid license. To do any of those things you first need to select one of the options on the pop up; "End Trial" or "Buy Premium".

If you select, "End Trial" this will end the trial features, and set the program into the Free version.

I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Would you suggest keeping the free version of Malware Bytes OR is there another program you would suggest?

 

Also, as far as my other programs I mentioned, do I need to keep, add or delete anything?

Yes. Keep the free version of malwarebytes and when things don't seem right run a malwarebytes scan. Your computer generally was in good shape just a Trojan, not a big deal for Windows to get a Trojan now an then.

I'd keep everything just as you have it.

You can remove all the tools we downloaded and log files that were generated. Right click and delete them.

You usually get infected because your security settings are too low.
