Hey there, I noticed last week that after updating my laptop I am unable to run any Windows 10 apps. I click on them, but they won't launch. I tried to run them using Run but that didn't work either.

Update: I also can't run anything from the control panel. I can't troubleshoot unless I download a troubleshooter from Microsoft. The only apps that I can run are the ones that I installed and apps that aren't specific to Windows 10 (ex. Wordpad, Windows Live Mail, Chrome, Office).

I am running Windows 10 (build 15063). Thank you for your time!

Julie

I still can't do anything that requires opening those apps. I can't change any of my settings through that immersive control panel and I can't update. All scans come out clean, no viruses and no errors detected with my SSD. I can't troubleshoot.

Thats really strange because as far as I know latest update was totally fine for most users. Try to reinstall these apps?

Hello w1nchester,

Just butting in here to say that there have been some issues from this month's Window's 10 update. (I know this because I researched it when my laptop initially refused to reboot after the update, although it was okay at the second attempt).

Most problems associated with this update seem to be with failure to boot, so am not sure whether they explain your problems. It seems that Windows are working to correct the problems anyway, so it could be that a future update will fix everything.
