The thing is whenever I try to change the video settings the game crashes with the error message-

the instruction '0x241f5a38' referenced at ''0x00cffacc''.The memory could not be ''read''.Click OK to terminate the program.

But otherwise the game runs fine. The only problem is that the current settings are so low that the graphics look like crap. :tazz:

i got to say your graphics card isnt powerful enough for half life 2 i wud suggest for a 128MB or 256MB (NVIDIA) r best

your other specs are fine just graphics m8

cards like 128MB are £20 or more 256MB cards are around £60 to £300

thats if you live in the UK

any integrated graphics chip is going to suck wind in HL2 or CSS....spring for a better one. i use a radeon9600xt (256mb) and its amazing. you wont be able to up the graphics if your card, or chip in your case, cant handle it.

I just upgraded from the Integrated Intel Extreme Graphics card with 64mb of video memory to an ATI Radeon X800Xl with 256mb video memory and I still have the problem.
