I recently was installing Windows updates as I have done many times before on my Windows laptop. In the middle of the downloads, the system completely crashed and the screen went black. When I tried to turn the computer back on, I get the Windows Boot Manager saying that some files are damaged or corrupted and it specifically mentioned winload.exe. I cannot even get the computer to boot up. I think I can have a repair person fix Windows, but what are the odds that the files on my solid state drive can be backed up, then reinstalled after Windows is repaired???
