Hi There,
I have a Dell Studio XPS 8100 Windows 10 which has stopped booting up.

The PC just turned off one day and now when I try to power up, the fans come on (very loudly) but nothing else. Also the power button glows orange instead of the usual white.

I tried unplugging everything like the graphics card and power supply to harddrive etc. and reconnecting everything but still the same result. There is a little orange light that comes on on the motherboard. I don't know if that's relevant or not.

This PC was a gift and I'm unsure what components, if any, the previous owner had replaced or changed.

Apologies for the lack of technical expertise in this description, I'm not very good with PCs!
If you require any more information, please ask!

Thanks for reading!

If the power light is solid amber —

• The computer is in sleep or standby state. Press a key on the keyboard, move the connected mouse, or press the power button to resume normal operation.

(or)

• There may be a problem with either the system board (motherboard) or the power supply.
