Hello,

I am hoping someone can give me advice. I have $350 to spend on a laptop. I would like it to be fast with a long battery life. Storage is not a main criteria. Here are 2 models I found. At first I would think that an I5 is better than an I3 but the I3 is newer. Which one is the better value?

Thanks.

Hello eagle99,

You cannot really compare the two price wise as one is refurbished and the other new and has a 7th generation Intel processor.

The i5 may be faster but it is older, if me I would pay the extra $100 and go for the Acer and at some point upgrade the RAM to 8GB.

Acer have good laptops. But our IT/geek in the office recommends Dell. :)
