For reasons im not going into my windows XP is half way stuck inbetween SP1 and SP2 so it restarts repeatedly.

When i try and reinstall SP1 (boot from CD) everything goes ok untill it claims that it cannot find my hard drive.

Hard drive i believe (i am a noob) is maxtor SY160MO
no problems before trying to install SP2

There has been problems with service pack 2 just make sure you DONT have any programmes running whilst your trying to install and BACKUP your important data. I had your problem once then i tryed agen it worked heres a link http://www.microsoft...sxp/choose.mspx

Oh and one more thing its best to scan your pc with infections before installing service pack 2 :tazz:
