I have two systems each with different nvidia cards in them

GEForce GTX580

GEForce GT 610

These cards each list a Max resolution of 2560x1600.

I am looking at 27" displays that show a Max resolution of 2560x1440.

Would I be accurate to assume the video card will negotiate to the 2560x1440 monitor resolution when connected via HDMI?

Or would i have to manually set the resolution on each card to match the monitor?

Thank you

Yes the video card should detect the native resolution without any issues.
