type the following commands and press enter after each.

 

diskpart

list disk (provide a picture at this step)

Okay that looks good it is seeing the 298GB drive. For good measure perform the following steps and let me know if any errors along the process.

 

select disk 0 (zero)

clean all

convert mbr
create partition primary
format quick fs=ntfs
assign
exit

can not enter commands nothing appearing on screen  and the DISKPART> prompt has disappeared, photo?

Do you know what caused the window to close?

 

Please try the commands again and let me know if they proceed

yes , me i hit the white X in the red square top right of the window, the window close button

 starting again

start at convert mbr again it looks like maybe you entered it to quickly if it fails disregard that step and move to next ones
