I'm not sure if this is the right topic to be posting this..so I apologize in advance if it's not...

 

I have a firewall issue. According to my service provider my firewall on my router is not fully functional because the hardware is out of date. I have Windows 7 but it says the firewall is taken care of by another program. This is an older machine and unfortunately not mine, it was given to me by a family member who just loves buying crap from where ever is cheapest and not updating any software.

 

I'm wondering if someone can tell me a different firewall software to get a hold of and how to set in up. I've already been hacked once on my tower system and had to change everything once before. So until I can find and prove a working firewall I"m not going to be able to do all my work or banking stuff until it's installed and running.
