When I shut it (FF Quantum) the PC goes back silent. It did the same thing on last FF also. The fan grill is clean an unobstructed. Runs all installed programs fine without that airy little whooshing noise.

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply. I took my time and tried a different setting every day. It was quiet at the start of my browsing session. But got louder as I browsed more. I noticed this in TM: it shows four FF entries. But I only have one page open?? I tried to include a screen cap of TM. But I kept getting an error message. I tried both jpeg and bitmap. Not allowed
