Hi everyone! I hope someone can give me some advise on tablets. First of all, I am very computer ignorant, so have patience with me please.

I need to purchase a tablet for an 8 year old that lives in Cuba. The internet situation there is spotty at best, and I do not want to take him a gift that will cause his parents to have any additional expenses, so what I need to know is what kind of tablet I can purchase that I can pre-load with some age appropriate games that will work off-line. And where do I purchase or download those games.

Help me give him something he can enjoy for awhile...
