My 7 year old win10 computer with a non plug and play monitor is starting to show signs of giving up the ghost. I have purchased a new win10 computer but have not purchased a new monitor since I plan to use thol monitor on the new computer. I have downloaded the driver for the monitor to the old computer. Is the answer as simple as - attach the monitor to the new computer and it win function sub-optimally but we'll enough to move the driver over and then do what has to be done to link it to the monitor.

:welcome:   SCHMITZEE,

You should at least get a reduced size screen when Windows loads it`s own generic display drivers, if yes, save the drivers you already have to the new computers desktop, go into Device Manager, click on the Action tab at the top, click on Add legacy hardware then follow the steps provided by the Hardware Wizard to install the drivers that you previously saved to your desktop.
