Try saving the file to your desktop instead of \.  It's possible that Windows no longer lets us write to it:

findstr  /c:"[SR]"  \windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log  >  \Users\mythi\Desktop\junk.txt
notepad \Users\mythi\Desktop\junk.txt

1. Please download the Event Viewer Tool by Vino Rosso
http://images.malwar...om/vino/VEW.exe
and save it to your Desktop:
2. Right-click VEW.exe and Run AS Administrator
3. Under 'Select log to query', select:

* System
4. Under 'Select type to list', select:
* Error
* Warning

Then use the 'Number of events' as follows:

1. Click the radio button for 'Number of events'
Type 20 in the 1 to 20 box
Then click the Run button.
Notepad will open with the output log.

This is the one that the problem is happening. The SFC didn't show anything wrong.

It seems to have finally righted itself when I took the case off and let it breath. It was rather dirty.

Thank you so much for your help. You have helped me a lot with this and I don't want you to waste anymore time on it. If it comes back then I for sure will get back in here and ask again.

Thank you
