I'm wondering whether it's really feasible to upgrade the g53sx at least theoretically? It comes to my mind only to raise the RAM to 16GB and put the SSD, maybe you have any ideas?

:welcome:   AkselVolt,

Both are possible but of the two fitting an SSD would give you a notable performance boost as in Windows would boot up far quicker than it does now, adding more RAM would only be of benefit if you use the computer for CAD work, professional video editing or games programming etc, the fastest compatible RAM for your notebook is 1333MHz and cannot be improved upon.
