General system board failure

My computer started to make a beeping sound with an orange LED light flashing 5 times before pausing. Its an hp windows 7 desktop. Does anyone know what I can do?

Motherboard or RAM problem are first thoughts, are you or someone that you know ok with working inside of a computer.

 

Can you tell us which particular model name and/or number your HP desktop is.
