Less inconvenient way? System to T.V and Theatre setup

We are trying to get a Wii to display to a Plasma for the players and a significantly larger projected image to an upcoming tournament to be held by our club. We've thought of a setup that may work (uncertain as to the quality effect that may occur.) but we've been eager to find of a more simple way to do this.
Our current setup method is as follows: [Wii] > [AV to HDMI] > [HDMI SPLITTER] > [PLASMA] and [HDMI to AV] > [PROJECTOR]
If there is a more simple way we would love to know!
