Hello, I have a problem with a desktop pc A running windows 8.1.

Through this pc, we have shared 2 usb printers

 

Till now everything was working just fine. We had to format the other pc B and a laptop

and since that day sharing does not work.

 

We added the shared printers to B pc and the laptop.

In both of them I get a message that I don't have permissions to access the printers.

In printer properties on PC B, there are any available ports, so it can't communicate with shared printer.

 

Trying to add users in printer's security on PC A, can't see pc B and laptop.

In fact can't see any other device on the network.

In security I have given to "Everyone" full access.

 

Any ideas?

Yes I imagine it is easy.

You have to make sure there isn't a firewall (from Windows a/or Antivirus) blocking the communication, if you don't use the same user/password in all the machines then type and save them on the Credentials Manager on Control Panel.

Hello, I have not much experience but this is the last I could think.

Kaspersky is the problem.

I could not have thought, that firewall would block a printer

 

I created a homegroup, I shared the printers, but the printers were not in the group.

I stopped every aspect of Kaspersky and I printed with no problems.

 

I checked and the network that the computers belong to, are in trust mode in Karspesky settings.

I had not much time, I will check again Kaspersky settings next time!

Hello, I haven't figure the problem exactly, but know we can print.

 

Trying to find which option of Kaspersky blocks the printers, disabling its firewalls one by one, allowed access to printers

 

When I find  exactly what to do, I will post it
