hi guys

I have lost my wireless adapter...over the last couple weeks I had been having problems with my wireless adapter, I wud turn my pc on and my wireless icon had disappeared or would have an X thru it with no available networks or no device. I have done a few of the tutorials on the net that specifically related to my problems but none wud work. Recently like 2 days ago I went to uninstall my adapter and when i went to reboot, the adapter didnt show up, and it hasnt since. Only way I can get on internet is by using eternet connecion.

Can someone pretty please help me out.

I have a toshiba satelite running win 7

If the problem is persistent and it's getting worse, there's always a chance that the hardware itself is faulty. Have you done checks to see if it's still working properly?

It's very hard to say without knowing the status of the actual hardware. It could've started getting faulty when you noticed the issue. You could try booting up in safe mode and see if it's getting detected in there. If it is, then we'll know it's a software issue of some sort. If it doesn't then chances get higher that your adapter might be broken.

Also, you can try this site:

Check step 3 and try it. Maybe it can nudge the adapter.

We highly recommend not using any driver update software. Only get drivers through manufacter of device or computer. Please supply the make and model of your computer and wifi adapter if known.

Show Driver Details
Go into Device Manager
Right click on your wifi adapter
Select Properties
Select the Drivers tab
and either provide a screenshot, picture provide the following information to your reply
Device Provider
Driver Date
Driver Version

Show Driver Hardware ID
Go into Device Manager
Right click on your sound card
Select the Details tab
Choose Hardware Id's under the property window
and either provide a screenshot, picture or add the hardware id values to your reply
