Hello everyone, I'm having some trouble with my computer. Hope you can help me out.

Over the past weeks I have been playing whitout and problems, but this week after playing tha sames games my screen would freze and after that a restart would happen.

In some games it does that in other it doesn't. For example PUBG would work great but Subnautica for instance would crush after 30 mins of use.

My CPU temps when it crushes are around 55-60, maybe even lower.

I did a 3DMark run and here are the results:

I ran the memory diagnostic tool to see if it was RAM fault and everthing was ok

Maybe a PSU or GPU problem? Can you help me out?

 

My computer specs are:

CPU: i5-8600K OC to 5GHz 2.8V

CPU cooler: Noctua nh-d15

GPU: MSI 1080 armour edition 8Gb (not oc yet)

Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-P

RAM: Ballistix 2x8Gb 2400MHz

PSU: Aerocool VP-750W

SSD: Sandisk 128GB

HDD: WD 1Tb

Double monitor set up.

Maybe a PSU or GPU problem? 

 

 

Best guess is a combination, the PSU because it is of poor quality and the rest of your hardware because it is not getting the clean and stable power that it needs, your GPU being the most power hungry will suffer the most, check the PSU links in my sig and you will see that Aero Cool PSUs are on the avoid list, your Aerocool VP-750W can only actually produce 600W yet is advertised as a 750W, if you check the actual PSU for yourself you will see that the Max Combined wattage says 600W, a good quality brand 600W PSU would be more than enough for your system but not the Aero Cool, I just hope that all of your expensive hardware is ok.

 

Let us know what country you are in and we will see if we can find you a good deal on an appropriate PSU.

I did an upgrade on the computer 2 months ago and used the old PSU, probably that's why is not up to date with new ones, I had it for 4 years now.

I'm from spain. Any advice on brand and money/quality PSU?
Usually I buy from amazon.

Surprised that the Aero Cool lasted so long, outside of the EU they are only covered by a one year warranty and for you in Spain 2yrs  

 

To allow for future upgrades the 650W Seasonic here

 

Still gives you a bit of wiggle room for a couple of additional HDDs in the future the 550W Seasonic here

 

Both have a 10 year warranty, both from Amazon although the 650W is a little less expensive here

 

Please confirm the costs and warranty terms for yourself before ordering.

Thanks for the help, I will check both of them and see if the problem gets fixed when I get one.
Can I ask you one more thing? I was loking to OC my GPU, have you done yours? Any advice? I never OCed a GPU so any advice is wellcome.

Not one for OCing myself and only tend to help people who have overdone things and it has gone wrong for them 

 

If you are set on OCing join a dedicated forum such as the example here I would also recommend that you go for the 650W for the extra power.

After trying to get the seasonic for almost 2 weeks no place had it, so I opted for the Cool Master and the problem is fixed. Thanks for the help.
