I have a samsung chromebook series 3
Model #: XE500C13
I did some research and I removed the write protection screw, And i got a Seabios.
I google search the error and it turns out its a bug and its something to do with the the gfxboot-theme-ubuntu, something in syslinux, or The video BIOS.
Then I stumbled across this:

First, you need the following binary blobs:

* descriptor.bin - Intel flash descriptor
* me.bin - Intel Management Engine
* mrc.bin - Memory Reference Code, which sets up SDRAM
* video ROM - sets up the display

You can get these binary blobs by:

$ git clone http://review.coreboot.org/p/blobs.git
$ cd blobs

Find the following files:

* ./mainboard/google/link/descriptor.bin
* ./mainboard/google/link/me.bin
* ./northbridge/intel/sandybridge/systemagent-r6.bin

The 3rd one should be renamed to mrc.bin.
As for the video ROM, you can get it here [3] and rename it to vga.bin.
Make sure all these binary blobs are put in the board directory.

Now you can build U-Boot and obtain u-boot.rom:

$ make chromebook_link_defconfig
$ make all

Source: https://github.com/q.../doc/README.x86

Basically, I need help on getting the U-boot installed on my chromebook; I already have it so I can press crtl-l.

Booting off my ubuntu which is installed on my usb flash drive, it works, but the mouse pad and the keyboard do not respond. I swiped my whole hand across the keyboard and well of course it didnt respond, so i rebooted and well where you type the password was filled up with the bubbles and it wouldnt stop lol
Anyways, it works if I have output mouse and a output keyboard. Its not what I wanted but its better than nothing imo

I did even more research and it turns out that you can possibly install digital software, so the chromebook functions like a laptop; is that possible?
Again, any help will be great
