Hello i am new to the form although not new to desktop repairs i have a 4.0 GPA in the stuff as well as Cert of Completion but i have a underlying issue that is F*** me over so i cant download any games nor do crap with the pc except browse.

I have put in countless hours repairing all the driver issues that came with this  laptop computer that my wife got me for Christmas how ever one day i was online on fiesta and the boom! the game wouldn't work at all anymore!

I cannot use any stock basic games that i have played for years on the intel 945 Family chipset however my pc claims its equipped with Nvidia Geforce Go 7400 but my computer does not recognize it nor pick it up, when i switch tthe speed which triggers the driver to change from the Intel ( stamina) to the geforce7400 (speed) it instantly gets stuck on or wont switch at all til late.

Im my device manager however i noticed when in speed mode, it says that its a (STANDARD VGA ADAPTER) where many conclude once this happens the driver/card is [bleep]ed.

If someone can tell me where in my pc the Graphics card is located and compatible upgrades for this may be located i wish to spend no more then $100.00 or less on this repair.

Its a got [bleep] shame all these defective devices she buys way overpriced for half of nothing,  sure i got the ram and everything else but thats useless without a functioning capable Graphics card to pull it, this pc belonged to another comp tech who i feel that had some shotty views on how to repair it correctly.

ive repaired over 18 drivers so far but this graphics is kicking my [bleep]

(HEEEEEEEELP O_O!)

Start by providing the information below. How are you updating the drivers? If you are using a driver update program they can cause serious issues and you should only download from the manufacturer websites.

Speccy
http://filehippo.com/download_speccy

1. File > Save Snapshot. This will create a file called [hostname].speccy
2. File > Publish Snapshot. This saves your snapshot to their servers
3 Copy and Paste the link to your next Reply

They are all manual updates Sony don't read [bleep] except windows stock updates, come to find out I had [bleep] of drivers missing from the Intel line up, those are all fixed.

The Bluetooth is fixed as well rfbus,

It's a windows vista upgraded to windows 7.

What you need a copy of I got sheets for days,

Also says Intel device driver needed but avg reported that it didn't need anymore updates then the same 3 popped up 2 of those 3 are not within my wanting to upgrade but the "Intel® device" is of concern which I think is the failed driver.

The list of avoided updates where for the Ethernet port which is not needed, the 80201-2448 Wi-Fi I did update which manually somehow popped back up but that driver is confirmed updated by device manager, and the touch processor which is *defiantly* not going to be fixed for security purposes.

95% of my updates where pulled from Intel manually 3% from Microsoft (mainly c++ redistribution pack) and 2% from nvidia they say these Sony vaios have shotty graphics cards that are not meant to last.

To be specific "Sony Vaio VGN SZ-470N."

Last but not least the Intel utility driver test says that the CPU PASSED the utility test but the "brand string" failed.

We understand that computer problems can be frustrating but can I ask that you remember that this is a family orientated site with many younger members, please refrain from cursing when posting.

Thank you for understanding.
