Hi

I ran the programs like you asked, but I could not find a program Driver Update. I checked the Programs and Features and did a search.
So I figure it might have been one I already deleted, so I just ran the FRST files. Hope I did everything right.

Absolutely perfect

Going back to your earlier question in post #69

A lot of windows wouldn't run for long or even open, but just tells me that the program is not responding. Can you let me know what topic I should go into for support with this.

To be honest I suspect a lot of the issues will simply be that your computer technology is very old and struggling to keep up with more modern applications and programs. However there is a area for Window Vista issues here where you can start a topic. In your new topic please post a link to this topic to advise you have been sent here from the Malware section.

The ESET scan you asked about can also be run at any time as an on line scan at this link here.

To remove FRST run Delfix again
  • Download Delfix from here
  • Locate the file and right click on it. Click on Run as Administrator.
  • Ensure Remove disinfection tools is ticked
    Also tick:
  • Create registry backup
  • Purge system restore
  • Reset system settings

    delfix.jpg
  • Click Run

The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log. Please paste the log in your next reply.

    All the best.
    Bruce.

I am so sorry, I was talking about my Laptop not Bob's, it is my laptop.  I do have the same thing on my PC also.  They both are Windows 10, with the exception of the PC, it has the Free edition of Windows 10 that came out last year, I believe.  I wasn't very clear about that.  My system runs Windows 10 Home.  I apologize again.  My mind isn't what it used to be.  I will be doing the files on Bob's laptop after he gets off, which is usually when he goes to bed.  You will/should have them tomorrow.

Hi

Thanks for the Delfix logs. :)

I'm sorry i have misunderstood about your computer. Best thing would be to start a new topic in the malware section again for your computer. Run FRST on the windows 10 laptop and post the logs explaining what symptoms you are experiencing.

Either myself or one of my colleagues will pick it up. :)

Thank you I just may do that.  I have other things I want to find out also.   Bob has used this laptop so no telling what is in here.

Okay, does  this end our project now?  It  really has been a pleasure even though I have had trouble getting things to upload and run them for you.

I really am not very computer smart, but I try.    Have a great evening.
