How best to clear out an unusually persistent bogus alert that captured my W10 desktop PC with phony screens and an accompanying audio message? The only way I have found is to shut down and restart.

Is there anything else I should do? I assume there is no point of reporting the advertised phone number or of calling it.  Thanks.  ....batpark

Batpark,

Sounds like you got hit with some malware. I would head over to the malware forum and see if they can help.

123Runner: Thanks. The problem just quit and has not returned, so I'll just ignore it (for now, and hope I never see it again).  batpark

to give you a solution kindly tell us the errors which you are facing. Or what type of alerts you are seeing?

As without this it would be quite hard to tell you a good solution
