4K Video Downloader, YouTube or What is the Problem?

Best Answer Chimiti , 01 April 2018 - 02:35 PM

Okay, my brother confirmed that he too is having problems with YouTube.  So that no doubt points to the problem being on YouTube's end. Go to the full post »

Anyone use 4K Video Downloader?

For quite a while now, since last year 4K Video Downloader 4.2.1.2185 was my video downloader of choice.  It had always been very reliable.  Almost every YouTube that I threw at it, it would download it.  It was extremely very rare that I would encounter any message of "Cannot parse" or any other failure / error message.

Suddenly, as of last week now I cannot download ANY YouTubes.  It is now "Cannot parse" galore.  Is it possible that 4K Video Downloader has some hidden limit as to how many YouTubes I could download for FREE ... and now it's cut me off and is trying to push me towards some Pro / Paid version or something?  Or could it be that it's trying to force me to once and for all click on that - Get Free License "I Want It" button that I've been ignoring all this time?

Or has YouTube stopped allowing downloading of YouTubes?

Or has YouTube stopped working with Windows XP?  I have Windows XP Pro SP3.

To try and troubleshoot the problem, I tried Wise YouTube Downloader 2.72 to see if maybe that downloader WOULD download YouTubes.  I wasn't able to download any YouTubes with that one either.  But, then, that video downloader was very unreliable in the past.  That was why I dumped it in favor of 4K Video Downloader.  So, the jury is still out.

Any insight?

I wouldnt be surprised that YouTube stopped allowing download, but than again they would have to treat the content as authors content. And thats too much trouble, Youtube, however, has changed the interface and its still in some beta testing there have been complaints so perhaps the problem comes from there.

Hmmm ... yeah, I did notice the change in the interface.

YOU wouldn't happen to have a YouTube Downloader, would you?

Knowing whether someone, ANYONE else can or also cannot download YouTubes would go a long way towards zeroing in on who's the culprit.
